This year we selected 20 high quality students. A good understanding of the hospitality industry, a positive attitude and are disciplined, punctual and eager to learn.

Class of 2020

The Academy started off with 25 students in 2020 and 24 will graduate on the 27th of April 2021. This gives us a retention rate of 99% for the year. We are delighted that all our students managed to find a job during these very challenging times. All are working in areas that allow them to utilize their strengths.

They are working at Terbodore Café, Franschhoek Boutique Hotel, The Corner House Residence, La Petite Manoir, Haute Cabrière, Boschenmeer, La Cotte Cottages, Le Cle De Montagnes, Foliage Restaurant, Pick & Pay Franschhoek, Oku Asian Eatery and Yama Sushi Emporium. We once again sent two students on a full time study bursary to the ITM College in Austria. Caryn Davids and Aloisia Ndamane left South Africa in December under very strict conditions. They have settled in and are now busy with their second term.
