We host a variety of Evening Short Courses to the public and establishments wishing to up-skill and refresh their knowledge. These are entry level courses yielding a Franschhoek Hospitality Academy Certificate of Participation and relevant Lobster Ink/Cape Wine Academy Certificates at the end. All funds received go towards sustaining the Academy.

BASIC BARISTA TRAINING COURSE

WINE BASICS COURSE - AN INTRODUCTION TO WINE
WINE BASICS: MAKE SURE YOUR OR YOUR STAFF ARE “WINE” READY FOR THE BUSY SEASON AHEAD
Together with Accredited Wine Educator & Facilitator, Alison Sussex, we have developed a Basic Introduction to Wine 4-week course with a specific focus on the Franschhoek Valley and covering the following topics: In the Vineyard, In the Cellar, Wine Styles and Wine Service.
Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to upskill and educate yourself or your staff. The course is comprised of theory lessons and 1 practical session at a tasting room which will include a cellar tour.

CAPE WINE ACADEMY - FRONT OF HOUSE COURSE
LECTURER: The course will be lead by an accredited wine educator,in conjunction with the Cape Wine Academy curriculum.
The Front of House Course is designed to set a basic standard in the wine industry for service and hospitality attitudes to tourists and guests in hotels and restaurants. On successful completion of this course, students will have an understanding of the basics of wine and how to interact and advise guests on Cape wines. Successful completion allows advancement to the Certificate Wine Course.
This Course will cost R2000 and there are only 25 seats available.
You will receive a Certificate from the Cape Wine Academy if you pass the Exam at the end.
